Hi folks

Some key words emerge from the last post which quite honestly make me lol! lol! .Yes netheravon was for the best so who made the errors and sent you and cosey actualy i think i was back in B company by nthen but that was your loss.lol! lol! Other than APC driving A/T always the best job in the BN but sadly went downhill when i left. I do remember May and Webby but cant put faces to them.

Chris
Just got home from Colly myself, Didn`t see you about but then it`s a long time since our paths crossed.[can`t get about on the old zimmer so well these days]
As you say it was a damned good day out, at least the rain didn`t come down?
it`s the first time i have been, and it wont be the last.

evening Chris
could`nt get back to the Abbey fields today but i thought it was a well organised event.
we only made up our minds at the last moment to go and it was well worth it.
I used to go to the tattoo when it was held in the castle grounds but then it was knocked on the head, i think it went to every four years.
is it still held in Colly?
Speak soon

Although the Sunday show wasnt as well attended as Saturdays it was still very enjoyable with American civil war,Napolionic war and Roman legions and chariots. All good fun especialy the scantily dressed fit bird charging up and down on a b/w Apalasso horse What a Face What a Face very nice.

No Tattoo wally just the annual military festival now.

See ya later

Afternoon children,
I need some help with names of people on some photo,s Rob has put in the old comrades photo,s section under my name Les Goodwin. I need help in the name of the little guy with me in one of the Aden pics Rob seems to think it might be Johnny Payne but I,m 99% certain its not any ideas, and I need clarification in another of the ugly sod sitting under a tree with me in Berlin I think it is Chris Avieson but I didn,t think he was that ugly, but he must have been cos they say that the camera never lies. Anyone remember Alan Orton from the A/Ts cos he lives just down the road from me as does his brother Billy Orton, Chris you must know Billy cos he spent nearly all his time in "B" coy I think and I know that you went to "B" coy after we kicked you out of the A/Ts. Anyone out there have any news on anyone else. New or old its all the same to me
catch you all later stay well Les

Hi Flo
sorry its taken so long to reply but ive had a heap of things to do ( mostly family stuff ) culminating in a local music festival in colchester. Elton John,Robbie Williams and Queen. All tribute groups.

I remember you in B company infact i think i taught you to drive APCs after that its pretty hazey. Did you go to Cyprus with the BN or the depot. Still with first wife and left the army in 1980 and joined essex police where i stayed untill i retired in 1998. Now doing a bit of Taxi work and considering retirement full time.

see ya later
